Last night I went camping in Vedauwoo, Wyoming with my friend Christina and her friends. It was a great amount of fun, and Christina’s first camping trip since high school. She lives just a few miles from gorgeous sites and never sleeps under the stars? Scandalous.
Here is her friend Courtney, having problems climbing a tree:

And here are the three ladies, Christina, Meaghan, and Courtney posing by the fire I made:

Christina and I spent at least an hour last night just staring at the stars. You can never really see the stars on the East Coast the way you can here. Thousands of them, with the Milky Way smearing a broad swath right across the center. I saw the longest shooting star ever.
In the morning, I went for a walk. Vedauwoo has the oldest exposed granite on the planet. All of the surrounding rock just eroded away, leaving intriguing formations, like this one:

In the morning, Christina and I went to this charming diner in Cheyenne, where I got a t-shirt. Christina was so happy about last night. Remember when I said it was her first time in ages? “I did camping! Yay!” she squealed.
It was early, so I’ll forgive her grammar.
